Benefits
Coverage
Covers the sale of a single family, owner
occupied, primary residence at close of escrow, for $50,000 aggregate. Coverage
includes defense cost and the repair of a material defect that was unknown and
undisclosed by the Seller.
Deductible
Zero deductible when an RERM panel attorney
is selected.
Duration
180 days from COE, it is non-renewable.
Requirements
Must be the Seller’s primary residence.
Seller must have lived in the house. Must have taken a whole house and roof
inspection by a Home Inspector or General Contractor prior to COE. Must be a
reported transaction and must pertain to the actual structure and foundation
only, as listed on the covered
transaction.
Mold Coverage
Mold coverage is available only when a mold
inspection is taken by a Toxicologist or Environmental Hygienist before COE.
Reporting Period
A dispute, written or verbal, must be
reported to RERM within 10 days. The problem must be found and reported within
the policy period of 180 days.
Exclusions
Intentional dishonesty. Damage to the home
of which the Seller had knowledge and that occurred prior to COE. Any claim in
which any other Insurance or Home Warranty is primary and obligated to pay.
